Poker Liberation Wants Your Opinion

Postby masseyis on Fri Sep 28, 2007 9:53 am

Hi, all. First off, I'd like to thank you all for playing at Poker Liberation and for coming back so often. You guys are great to have on the site. As we grow, we are having to adapt our stance and make policy decisions about things that we never expected. One of these is chat languages. Some non-Lithuanian players seem to have concerns about Lithuanian chat at the tables. However, you guys are our best members, and we want to keep you happy first and foremost. So, in the interest of fairness, we propose this rule:

If there is at least one player sat at a table who does not speak your native language, please only chat in English on that table.

Or to put it more generally - everyone at a table should agree to speak one language that all players understand, but in the event that a language can't be agreed on, default to English.

Before we decide on this rule, we would just like to get your opinions on it. Hence this poll.

Thanks again for your continued support and feedback.

That's fair. I'm sure that we wouldn't like to sit at table without understanding what are talks about.

" I don't like it, but I'd live with it. "
It's hard to play for a player who doesn'tt understand what others talk about and it makes him feel confused. So I think it would be a good rule.

I'm kind of surprised about the voting. I was excecting that most of the guys will say "NO, NO, and NO" to this idea...

I don't like it, but I'd live with it. - I voted for that.
Why? because I like to have great time in my own languege with other Lithuanians. But ofcourse I understand that for other nationality person its really confusing to see all the time : " blabla bla bla bla...".
so I will speak in english if I will see other nationality person at a table.

i do not mind, but it seems to be fair - so nobody can offend someone else in a foreign language... sometimes i turn off the chat anyway :P
