How Long Do You Play Poker?

I was wondering, what kind of players are here, in this forum. Personally, I play only for just a bit more than 2 months, so I would definately call myself a beginning. Sometimes a lucky beginner, but still a beginner. :)

So, what about you? For how long do you play poker?

Few months... I started to play poker (at least few times per week) in December of 2006.
But first time I tried poker was 3 years ago... and I had AbsolutePoker software (but played only FreeRolls)

Personally, I started playing poker back in the year 2006 Novermber or December. I didn't play much... Basically, my game was concentrated on freerolls since I was just a newbie without any understanding about poker or skills. I said that I won't deposit any money of my own :)

Later, I got tired of it and made a long break. Now I'm back :) So, I really play poker for about 3-4 months.

Freerolls take a lot of patience (which I don't have too much) and time so I hated them. This was just a free way to learn at least some poker skills. I won some good places in freerolls but I wasn't able to win much. As it is said, the more you invest, the more you can get. So, I made some deposits, took some bonuses and made some winnings... But i'm still searching for "my" poker room and game... :)

I like sit-and-go... and quiet small MTT (under200 players).
NL Hold'em. That's the way I like to play. If I play MTT - I prefer not to make re-buy... so mostly I'm playing Freezout B)

I play poker for about two years now. I don't have many great victories to brag about, but there are still some nice ones. I hope that my greatest winnings are waiting in the future. :)

at the begining i used to play in my free time, but later then i got my schedule cut at work i got more free time - started playing more. when a bout a year and a half ago, i found myself left with only friday nite left at work, and mostly playing the rest of time...it lasted for about a year, and i was doing good enough to pay my bills and stuff playing poker, so finally my manger asked me if im rady to give up my last friday nite , and i said ok... bac in those days i used to play a lot lie crazy - about 80 hours and more a week. i had two computers set up on my desk and used to play on both at same time -sometimes up to 6-7 turnaments at the same time...now i became more selective or lazy :)) and stoped doing that , mostly just stick with playing on my laptop, and 3-4 turneys at same time, for about 40-50 hours a week. sometimes i dont play for quite some time - like after last trip to vegas, i didnt play at all for 3 months, just playing some stupid game online and doin nothing ....but that got boring soon plus got bills to pay , and i came back to ultimet bet at the begining of this year

Two to three weeks maybe, maybe even less. I am just learning to play at this time and i think i will be able to earn some money from it in a year or so. And if not - it's just for fun anyway.
