It's an 8 player table and I get dealt KK. I raise before the flop 4x the blinds and get two callers. The flop comes up - KQ10 rainbow.
I've got a set and there's a small small possibility to get a straight for my opponents.
The opponents are pretty loose and aggressive who like to bluff a lot, so I make a raise of 6x the blinds with my set.
The player after me thinks for a while and says he's all-in, the next guy folds so it's my turn...

My opponent can basically have anything since he called my preflop raise. He might have AK which would put him on a top pair with the highest kicker and a straight possiblility... KQ which would give two pairs... QQ or 1010 which would mean a set... J9 or AJ which would make a straight... or just some small pocket pair and now he's trying to steal the big pot...

How would you act in this situation? There's only two hands that can beat me and I still have 2 cards to come that might give me a full house...

Facts:
1. There's only a small chance that the player has you beat (holding either AJ or J9).
2. Even if he has you beat, you still have six outs plus a few more for a runner-runner FH or split.
3. It's simply a homegame, thus there's not much at stake and it's not the end of the world if you lose and get knocked out.

Resolution: Instacall!

Call , he could have many hands and think he's ahead .. If he tries to steal he could also have AA/JJ/JK .. or anything eles ;)
Maybe it's not the best play , but I would gamble here .

And since it's in the bad beat thread I'm guessing he did have AJ/J9 ..

You caught me there badriver4me <_<
This topic is in the bad beat section so it didn't turn out very well...

I totally agree with both of you since the most rational decision was to call with my set and I did that without much consideration. I realize that my opponent might have a straight draw and might just want to bully me out of the huge pot... But, as I showed my KK, he showed his AJ...

The last two cards didn't help me much and my tourney was basically over since I was left with about 4x the blinds

Consider introducing a rebuy option to your homegames ;)

Call. Afcourse, he's lucky that had AJ, and the flop is like that...but before your post Rimvis, i though the best he could have is QQ, 1010, AK or AQ. Really unlucky situation :)
