oh , man, it would be great - only the date .... :mellow: when?
becouse as for me, i will came only in next year 1 st month , so i dont think that i could participate in these events.... i wanted maybe we can do it in next year 1st month - we would have a lot of time for preparing everything for a VIP party, ( Skyliner Bounty Turney ) and chose clubs , places, rezervations i would really wanted to participate in this Cool party to

I guess we need to make another poll on choosing the date. As for me, January seems cool - it would leave us almost three months for planning, which is very positive.

I think it would be nice at Bernardinu B&B. But all other offers are welcome. Let's say it would be "plan B" at the moment.
The date must be choosen. We must make poll. December is really not good month i thing - all cristhmas, and other things.
I think the best dates are only 2 - in 2007 11 or in 2008 01.
if 2007 11 - meeting would be faster, but it could ( i dont say nothing, its my opinin) not organized well too much . When you spend $ you want get best quality i think.
2008 01 - lot of time to prepare - lot of time to think, reserve something, make even better plan's of activitys, make everything good and nice, not forgotable

I didn't read anything yet and I'll only make a comment on the date. Personally, I'd choose some closer date, maybe even October since I don't think that there is that much planning to do. But that is up to the participating forum members to decide. For me, the faster the better.

I salute this idea. I'd also like to see the first get-together happen rather soon, and if it goes well then why not a vol.2 in January ..

Let me be the first one to propose a date. I'm afraid that making it in October would be too soon, so I propose 2-3 November 2007.

If everybody is cool with the date then we need to put together the organizing team. I could take the following under my responsibility:

1. Providing the tournament management (schedules, blind display etc.) - I've organized some major tournaments before and have all the necessary software etc.
2. Finding a suitable hotel/hostel and negotiating the prices with them (that's if I'm not the only one that doesn't live in Vilnius).

What needs to be done by someone else is:

1. Finding a place for the tournament.
2. Providing chips and cards (I could do it myself if I decide to come by car, but I decide to take the plane then bringing chips is rather complicated because of the weight ..)
3. Putting together the after-tournament schedule. E.g. finding out about the events in Vilnius and making reservations to the guest-lists if necessary.

Any voluntaries?

Let's get this thing rolling!!

Earlier today, we had a long discussion with rimvis and catchKISS, regarding the get-together. We decided the following:

1. The event will take place on 2 November 2007;
2. It will most probably be held at a VIP room at a sports bar, pictures: internet-sportbar.lt (will be confirmed by tomorrow);
3. Those who need accommodation in Vilnius, let me know ASAP. Our initial though is to stay in a 3-room apartment at Bernardinu Guest House (ww.avevita.lt/guesthouse/) - in case the apartment fits 6 persons (this will be confirmed by tomorrow, as well), the price would be approximately 66,- LTL per face.
4. By now, the ones who will definitely participate are: rimvis, catchKISS, 777, Paluenas, forextrading, Matthew and janark. Paulenas will probably take two friends along, and I will take one or two.

More details to be posted tomorrow.

This date is definately worst which can be. No offence, but the first of November is the All Soul’s Day and probably lot's of people will travel to their relatives even next day (as I'll probably do) and so on. Count me of for sure

One of the biggest problem was to find the place for our get-together MEET.
At the moment we are about to agree to meet at COZY. It was a club under the bar but now it's closed.
So we would have a private area. There was a private poker tournament some time ago, so the place fits for that (I hope).
The price would be 50Lt (per person), which means that you'll have to order something (food, drinks, etc) for at least 50 lt.
But now we need to count how much of us are going to play. So my friend could discuss the price...
And we're going to play poker tournament with one re-buy (per head) in 1st hour and 1 add-on at the end of 1st hour.

By the way... let us know if somebody are coming from other cities and don't have a place to sleep

Does the tournament have some kind of requirements in order to join? I'm a new member here but really would like to participate.
