Like I have one rule in betting: Don't play bets on teams you really love... They can lose too! :)
But it doesn't work for me, I bet for them anyway :D

And what about you ? B)

1) let's ask Yourself what do You want from betting;
2) theory is the 1st step for the succes in betting;
3) pro-bettor spend about one hour for 1 event analysis;
4) psychology and maths;
5) betting won't make You a millionaire in 1st year but could make You a poor man;
6) find Yourself in betting fields. Use Your knowlegde on 1-2 leagues - not on all sports and all leagues. That's not normal;
7) the main mistake of begginers - bets on their favorite. Everybody believe in supported team and put money on victory... You should be obvious and take all conditions in Your mind;
8) don't make bet only on statistics - look more news and reviews;
9) be careful with money online. It's very easy to spend them. Responsibility for virtual money is different;
10) try to avoid Cup and Friendly (soccer) matches - major clubs sometimes play without big passion and best players.

I had the same problem when I used to bet...
I often betted on my favorite teams... but you know that when you love some team, your opinion is not always objective...
I had many losses this way...

I'm not a pro-bettor... and I spend ~30 minutes.
Of course sometimes I just pass that event and look for another one <_<

Is betting popular in summer? I don't think that there are too many popular events happening at this time of the year...

1.Work on data about teams;
2.Don't bet more than I can;
3.Maximum 2 bets in one ticket;
4.Get as much information about pick as I can before putting some money on it;
5.Avoid unknown leagues, especially in football;
6.Bet very rare on NBA and other american sports;
7.Think logical and stay calm all the time.
