How do you play this poker hand? I think it's overrated sometimes   I like to raise pre-flop with it, sometimes even go all-in and lose ;)

Big slick is indeed often overrated by amateur players. There's loads of inexperienced players out there who'd call their whole stack all-in with this hand, without even blinking an eye. This kind of play is, in the long run, a sure way to bankruptcy.

Don't get me wrong though. AK is a powerful hand and its almost always correct to _raise_ with it. However, very often you will find yourself in 50/50 situations, and have to lay the hand down after facing a reraise. The stupidest thing (and the one I see most often) is calling an all-in with AK, early in the tournament when you still have plenty of room to outplay your opponents ..

When have AK you should bet 4-5 BB , ang go to see a flop against no more then 2 players . When you see a flop and have no raise from opponent you shuold bet 2/3 pot . Its simple , but it works :)

Yesterday, I watched high stakes poker... AK is the monster hand for them... They do not think long about it, if they get a raise before them, they easily go all-in. :)

i think that's really overrated hand especially in tournaments because almost all the time you have coinflipp or you are dominated
